Why do people brag about cutting themselves? It’s disgusting. Self-harm is a real problem, and having these whiny little teenagers say that they do it for the ‘release’ or the pain, is just insanely stupid.
And trust me, I’m not some emo basher. I dress in the lovely little stereotype we have, but I don’t flaunt all of my mental problems to fit in with the internet cliques.

I’m gonna set this cutting thing straight. Right now. I don’t care why the hell you ppl are here if you don’t except emos. And ppl saying “Oh no don’t cut yourself, it’s bad. You need help” Well you can go to hell and burrrrn! Yes, you can end up losing a lot of blood. But, most ppl do this when they are all ready in pain and they do this to calm there selves down. No I don’t cut myself but my best friend does. And she tells me the only time she does this is when her parents beat her, or someone shes close to dies.
It’s a way to mourn or help you feel something more than the constant depression around you.
Now do I think you should do it? no I don’t but if you do….Fine whatevah I don’t care. You have to let ppl learn from their mistakes. If it lets you feel something then go ahead. It’s like when your haveing a bad dream and you no how you feel after you awake. Maybe lonely, depressed, sad, angry, or even shocked. And you know how you just want to get rid of all that negativity. Thats another reason ppl might slit their wrists.
AND I DON”T WANT PPL REPLYING TO THIS SAYING MY FRIEND IS CRAZY OR IS A MANIAC. Cutting is hard to explain, it has diffrent effects on different people, but the common reason is it gives you a feeling of almost letting out an inner scream. Or, i know this guy who gets really bad headaches and when he does he hits his head really hard on something, i asked him how that helps and he told me he helps you concentrate on a pain you can control rather than that raging pain inside of you that you cant reach, same with cutting. I used to have big problems with cutting, and with a lot of help ive finally managed to stop but thats a personal descison, dont tell peopl ‘oh dont cut, its bad for you’ etc because they are not gonna listen if anything your just gonna piss ‘em off, you just have to be there for them, they have to know you dont judge them

Emos aren’t ‘wierd’ or ‘crazy’, as some would say, for cutting themselves. I have no problems with any of that, and by all means if it helps them get through hard times go for it.
I had an abusive family and I used to cut myself. But after I got removed from custody of my fatherI tried my best to stop. And I did. I know what it feels like. For me it was like a breath of fresh air after an eternity under water. I don’t hold the cutting trend against any of my friends who will still after a hard day cut themselves. I just ask that any of whom do cut please be careful. I lost my best friend two years ago because she wasn’t careful enough with the razor and cut too deep.
People, don’t leave comments saying “Oh no! Don’t cut! It’s bad for you! Yada yada ya” you’re just making their lives harder because of peer preasure and making them feel as if they don’t belong on this earth. And you just make them extremly pissed. Just leave them alone and if at all possible make us feel welcomed.

I just wanted to put my 2 cents in here real quick. I understand people that cut and have had many friends that have, (she did it because her father beat her ) And it is a way to let out anger, frustration and you shouldn’t tell people not to but at the same time not let them do it freely, also, I hate you F**king people that go around saying “Yay! I cut!” You just want attention and are real poser’s sometimes, not saying all, and don’t know what it truly feels to be in pain. People that cut keep it secret cause its their way to release that anxiety, this is my point of view, my 2 cents so don’t like it, I don’t’ really care. Personally, I like emo people because they aren’t afraid to express themselves (unless they are fakers and posers) and they can just do what they want. I love ‘em man. I also think that their style just completely rocks, and at first I didn’t even know that people who dress like that ever had a lable until just recently. People can express themselves in many ways, emo or not. I just think that this one is more… spread out? Is that what I’m looking for? People can still be emo and have their own personality. That’s what I love! ^_^ However, I do not understand the whole cutting thing and personally, I do not believe that cutting yourself means that you are emo or vise versa (your emo must mean that you cut yourself too. I do not believe that.) but like I said, people express themselves in different ways. I just don’t agree (in my opinion) that people should cut themselves… it can be dangerous… maybe that is what people like about it, I don’t know… but still. It sounds rather… (forgive me) depressingly moronic. Not meaning to offend but if you just beat yourself up to feel good… that doesn’t even make sense to me… you don’t want to be beat up by others, then why hurt yourself???
