I’m an emo that doesn’t cut myself. Does that make me emo? or does that make me goth? I like to use hair clay to style my hair but I’m not doing a good job with it. I pierced my ears but then my ear was bleeding a lot so I had to take my earrings off. So am I considered an emo?

Hey. I found a kick ass emo hair styler i really love and everything. The main color will be 2 shades from black since i cant get full black my dad would murder me but i was thinkin about just using extintions for the other color so i can change them out. should i do that? and another thing is my hair is puffy and frizzy all the time and this hair style is kind of wavy and strait and i dont think my hair can do that. How would i keep my hair form frizzing out when i straitin it? o_o

Jeez guys, your hair is your hair. You want it to look scene or emo or whatever without the crazy ass colors? Do it. Tell your stylist to do choppy layers near your head and then make it go down to you chin , if you want short. If you want long, don’t let them touch the bottom part of your hair.
No offense, but I’ve had the scene/emo hair since er… third grade. Im a sophomore now and I have only had two colors of hair-my natural color previously and now its a red. You DON’T NEED crazy colors! You don’t need tons of hairspray or whatever else.
It will make your hair nasty and dried out.
Just do whats healthy for your hair. Don’t try to overdue the fad, please?

Not an emo , but to all the girls asking about how to get theyre hair this big …
1. get choppy layers - this makes your hair much thicker so its easier to backcomb
2. use volumising shampoo follwed up by a volumising spray (john freida do both). Put this on before drying your hair , then dry your hair upside down (it works! aha)
3.Backcomb it alot and use ALOT of hairspray (i suggest http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/img-thing?.out=jpg&size=l&tid=5267414 (It stays up and smells like berries , not that chemically crap!) but believe me if your combing it out… GRIT YOUR TEETH!
