Hair Dying Techniques for Emos

When it comes to hair, emos put an emphasis on it. There’s no doubt about it. But emos usually dye their hair certain ways. The question is, what are these ways?

Dyed Emo Hair

Well, first of all, there is the usual black. Most emos go for plain black because of the contrast it makes. It’s dark and almost no one in the U.S. or many other countries actually has pitch black hair. The dye also often gives the hair a sheen.

Then, there are some emos who go blonde. Usually it is not a dark blond or dirty blond, but platinum blonde. It’s all dependant on taste, however.

Peek-a-boo dyeing is also fairly common now. This usually means that they have light blond hair on the top half of their head and black or dark brown on the bottom.

Bleaching is also pretty common. A lot of time this is indicative that they are going to dye their hair an unnatural color or something of that nature, although some just like to have their hair that much lighter.

Unnatural colors are popular in many capacities. Maybe they want all of their hair to be one color or they only want to have a few streaks.

Tips are also fairly common. Usually they are darker. However, there are also some who get red tips. Blonde tips are usually pretty uncommon.

A lot of times, the bangs are left uncolored or colored as opposed to the rest of the hair. This also makes a start contrast.

    Heya!

I had blonde hair once and used the colour spray… and it looked pretty good… the trick I discovered was not to spray it on when ur hair is dry, but rather when its towel dried, spray it on and then comb it through, then let it dry naturally or with a hairdryer.. the result looks great, almost like you dyed it..
    good luck!

idyed my hair cosmic blue a few months ago and was told bleaching it would ruin it so if yuu have dyed yuur hair a very dark coulor and have started to grow out of it i would advise to let it wash out and then try to dye it a lighter tone but not to light that it wont dye . or if yuu have a feeling yuu like to chop and change colours stick to tempory or semi perminant dyesso it wont be there for long xx one thing i really think yuu should avoide is gettin hair stripped as it drys hair out and makes it very brittle x

    hopr this was helpful
