Emo style is all about image and having the right hairstyle. For those want emo style and have short hair, all is not lost. Short hair does not exactly fit in with emo there are some things you can do while you are waiting for it to grow out. For those with extremely short hair you will need to refrain from having it cut. The first few months will be a real pain for you as your hair will not cooperate with emo styles. The longer it gets the easier it will be to get your hair to flip over the eye.

When your fringed bangs reach about three-fourths of the way down your forehead, it is time to have your hair professionally cut. You will need to have it thinned and trimmed so it will begin to shape itself the right way. In three months, you should begin to see your hair show emo style. Now that you have a good start to an emo style, you will need to go to the salon every month to keep it that way. Within a years time, your hair should be down past your nose and you should have the emo style you want.

While you are waiting for your short hair to grow out, start washing it with a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. This will help you to begin repairing any damage and keep it healthy. While you are waiting for it to grow out, do not bleach your hair. Bleaching it will damage it. Use hair wax instead of gel. It works better and does not spot the skin. Wash your hair only a couple times a week instead of every day. This will prevent it from drying out. The idea is to have your hair grow out silky and soft instead of being brittle and dry.
